What does this text mean to you?
Does your understanding change the way you think?
Act?
Engage the world at large?

At Hebrew College’s Open Bet Midrash, you’ll join students of diverse ages, professions, educational levels and belief systems to answer these and many more questions, as you explore and discuss classical and modern Jewish texts. In hevruta pairs, small groups and seminar-style conversations, you’ll study with expert teachers in a shared pursuit of deeper understanding and meaningful Jewish living.

Unique in its implementation, the Open Bet Midrash promotes a more inclusive and active approach to Jewish learning. At its best, the program delivers a peak experience of Jewish community, one that not only breaks down barriers between learners of widely varying backgrounds, but also leverages diversity to draw fresh insights from ancient and modern sources—insights that can transform lives.
